Dubious legends join the festival
Well, we’ve only gone and booked the local legends!
Yes The Dubious Brothers will be playing on the Saturday of this year’s festival. Now we know how Emily Eavis felt when she booked Lionel Ritchie*!
(*Insert any other Glasto band of your choice.)
Formed a mere 29 years ago and still going strong, the band are well known for their charitable work around town. Their repertoire includes a great variety of well-known covers along with some excellently crafted tunes of their own.
We’re excited, this band are not to be missed!
FRIDAY NIGHT HEADLINER ANNOUNCEMENT (prepare to be dazzled!)
We are thrilled to announce that this year’s Friday headliners will be local heroes The Razzle Dazzle Jive Band.
The Razzle Dazzle Jive Band are a six-piece from Malmesbury within and without, who play rock’n’roll seriously well. Their set spans the two decades when this style set the tone for all that followed in popular music. The band puts a new slant on songs by legends like Fats Domino, Chuck Berry and Buddy Holly, and re-inflates less-well-known material by older legends like Louis Jordan, Stick Magee and Tiny Bradshaw.
“They inspire in one an overwhelming feeling of admiration.” HM The Queen.
“If it’s not fun it ain’t worth doing.” Frontman Paul “Crazylegs” Deacon (from a trolley in A&E after their last gig).
After the unfortunate withdrawal of Nightshift…
…We are incredibly excited to announce our new Saturday headliners 230AC, featuring the outstanding multi-instrumental, musical and vocal talents of Mike and AJ.
As well as session and recording work, 230AC are a hard-working band who have a huge repertoire spanning many different decades and musical genres. To us, they’re the perfect headliners.
Doesn’t matter if you’re young or not so young, expect a party, a great sound, and a dazzling light show. Expect to sing along and dance!
We’re really excited to announce that Sound Affects have made space in their incredibly busy schedule to support this year’s festival on the Saturday afternoon.
In our opinion, Sound Affects are the perfect festival band, great performers with brilliant songs playing music that really resonates with people. Don’t miss them, they are well worth making the effort for.
